Senin,9 Desember 2019 lalu nominasi Golden Globes 2020 baru saja diumumkan. Yang menarik dari daftar nominasi pada Golden Globe kali ini adalah daftar nominasi untuk kategori Best Motion Picture – Drama karena didominasi dari film-film produksi Netflix. 

Dari 5 kandidat pemenang di bawah, 3 diantaranya adalah film keluaran Netflix yaitu, ‘The Irishman’, ‘Marriage Story’, dan ‘The Two Popes’. Sementara dua film lain adalah ‘Joker’ dan ‘1917′. Meski banyak para pecinta film mengharapkan Joker untuk meraih piala.

Sementara itu film yang digadang-gadang menjadi film terbaik di tahun 2019 ini, yaitu ‘Joker’ dan ‘Parasite‘ mendapatkan banyak nominasi. ‘Joker‘ yang menjadi film rating R terlaris sepanjang masa mendapatkan 4 nominasi, sedangkan ‘Parasite‘ mandapatkan 3 nominasi.
